three were joined on stage by their sons, who were enrolled, creating a fun, family moment during the show.

In addition to the voice and instrument students on stage, Brown Academy of Music offered classes for dance and the students also performed throughout the show. The dance classes, taught by Monica Orellano from the Knapsack Dancers, were added to the school’s offerings this past summer by request of BAM students and parents and have become a permanent part of the school’s curriculum.

During the months of June through September, Brown Academy of Music also held various workshops to give additional learning opportunities for its students. On July 29, BAM was the local host for a contemporary a cappella vocal workshop taught by the legendary Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. Over 200 students from Cebu attended and several vocal groups performed as part of the master class.

In the months of August and September, BAM also hosted a songwriting course taught by award-winning composer, producer and musical director Jude Gitamondoc. Those students enrolled got a chance to learn how to express themselves through writing their own original music.

Brown Academy of Music is currently accepting enrollment for their Christmas batch, which will have their culminating show on December 9 at Ayala Center Cebu.
