Bogo City’s pride Jan Godfrey “Noynoy” Seno spanked Ibarra Ortega Jr., 8-4, to barge into the boys 18 final of the 2017 CitiGreen Junior Tennis Cup at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Barangay Pardo, Cebu City yesterday.

Seno opened his bid with an 8-2 rout of fellow Cebuano Vinz Lominoque, then proceeded with a 8-1 whacking of Stephen Zion Guia of Dipolog City.

Ortega will face either top-seeded Marc Nicole Suson or Jose Maria Pague in the gold medal match today at CitiGreen.

Whatever happens in his semifinal match against Pague, Suson has already booked a final ticket in the boys 16 after pulling away an 8-5 win against Vaughn Spencer Codilla.

In special 8-under class, it's going to be Gavin Kraut against David Ezra Sepulveda in the finals. Kraut dumped Rhane Anton Dedace, 4-0, 4-0, while Sepulveda clobbered Chad Carslisle Cuizon, 4-0, 4-1.

After moving up in the girls 18, Elizabeth Abarquez also entered into the 16-under semis after winning by default over Ellaine Bahonsua.

At CitiGreen, Karen Sanhez posted an 8-2 win against Khim McKenzie to barge into the girls 12 semifinals opposite Tiffany Claire Nocos.

In the boys 12, the semifinals are Nash Agustines, Andrei Sal Lago and Alejandro Barrientos, who also made it to the Final Four in boys 14 together with Brent Sigmond Cortes and Rupert Tortal.

In the unisex 10under, the semis cast includes Al-Rasheed Lucman, Gio John Manito Tabura, Chad Connor Cuizon and Abdel Qadzri Matarul.—
