JBH Trans signs up as Pag-IBIG transport partner

Cebuano-owned JBH Trans, which operates Britt Transport buses and mini-buses, becomes the first transporta­tion company in the country to become a Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Partner.

Following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Pag-IBIG fund Talisay Branch and JBH Trans, Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card holders can avail of a 10 percent discount when riding Britt Transport buses and mini-buses.

A statement released by Pag-IBIG said that passengers just have to present their Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card to the bus driver or bus conductor to avail of the discount.

Julieto Flores, owner and chief executive officer of JBH Trans, in a separate interview said that he expects the discount will take effect before Christmas.

"Mag print pa ang Pag-IBIG og mga leaflets nga usa na mi sa ilang mga partners. Unya kami pud magbutang pa mi og mga stickers sa among mga buses how to avail of the discounts. Hopefully, before Christmas maimplemen­t na ni," said Flores.

Flores said that JBH Trans has 20 buses and mini-buses plying the routes from Cebu City to Carcar, to Simala in Sibonga, to Barili, to Dumanjug, and vice versa.

"We are the first and only transport company in the country to have partnered with Pag-IBIG," said Flores, who is also the president of Cebu South Mini Bus Operators Associatio­n and spokespers­on of the Cebu Provincial Bus Operators.

Present during the MOA signing were Flores, Pag-IBIG Fund Area Head for South Central Visayas Jovelita Custudio, and Barili Mayor Marlon Garcia.

Loyalty Card holders may also enjoy special discounts and rewards in buying medicine, paying tuition, for fuel and lots more from other Loyalty Card Partners. The Loyalty Card is a way of showing loyalty and commitment to Pag-IBIG members.
