Best of Cebu showcase in Manila FAME on Oct 20-22

Cebu will have a special showcase during the 66th edition of Manila FAME, the country’s premier lifestyle and design event, which will be held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City from October 20 to 22.

On display are unprecedented trove of objects from the island of Cebu, which encompass the furniture, home décor and fashion accessories sectors.

According to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Director Asteria Caberte Cebu’s showcase “Chambers: the Cebu Project” is conceived to emulate a resort hotel

This curated and experiential setting showcases the beautiful and world class objects designed by Cebu’s talents which combine innovative materials, exacting artisanal techniques and the latest in digital manufacturing, she added.

Caberte disclosed that “each chamber contains a collection of items that have been hand-picked based on the room’s function and exude certain moods that are both current and relevant in today’s design landscape.”

The DTI official also said that this is the first time that Cebu is having its own pavilion in the Manila FAME.

Cebu’s showcase in Manila was made possible through the partnership of the Department of Trade and Industry and the Province of Cebu.

The project s in cooperation with the Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation (CFIF), Cebu Gifts, Decors and Housewares (GDH) and Cebu Fashion Accessories Manufacturers and Exporters (FAME).
