P2M stage for grander Sinulog presentation

-

SFI executive director Ricky Ballesteros said the foundation spent at least P2 million for the stage which was made to complement the performances of the contingents.

"We have 16 sets of LED (light emitting diode) walls that we rented for P25,000 per day. We rented it for six days. Ang atong plywood sa flooring and sa wall cost over P1 million," he told The FREEMAN.

Ballesteros said it was City Councilor David Tumulak who conceptualized this year's grand stage. Tumulak is this year's chairman of the SFI Executive Committee.

Tumulak said he wanted to have more advanced technology as compared to the previous years.

He said the LED walls used are the latest and advanced technology for now which aims to give a total production for the spectators during the Grand Parade on January 21.

"First time nga dagko gyud atong LED walls kay previously, gagmay gyud. We want nga ang tanang manan-aw kay ma-enjoy sa mura'g TV production nga makakita gyud og focus sa presentations," he said. (This is the first time that we are having really big LED walls because previously, we only had small ones. We want everyone to enjoy the presentation to be shown on these big screens.)

Tumulak said there are three high-definition cameras and videos will be projected on the two big LED walls, adding that more advanced sound system complemented this year's high-tech and modern presentation of the stage.

Tumulak vowed that the city government and the SFI will continue to innovate for better presentation of the stage.

Ballesteros thanked Dakay Construction for extending free installation of the scaffoldings of the stage which is now one meter higher as compared to last year's four feet.

"Mao ang available stage sa Dakay Construction. Elevated siya maong among giadjust pod ang slope para dili delikado sa contingents," he said. (The stage of Dakay Construction is elevated so we adjusted the slope so it will be safe for the contingents.)

The wooden ground will be painted with color gray while the wooden walls behind the LED walls will be painted white.

Ballesteros encouraged all the 32 contingents for next week's Grand Parade to utilize the whole stage. —
