Luisito Amance, 30, resident of Barangay Sangat, San Fernando, was arrested in Barangay South Poblacion while on his way to board a jeepney bound for Cebu City.

San Fernando Police Station chief Senior Inspector Adrian Nalua said Amance had been under surveillance for more than two weeks.

“Nagsimula talaga to sa programa nating isumbong mo kay hepe, a localized version of PNP Chief Bato's 'Isumbong mo kay Bato'," he said.

Nalua said he assigned somebody to act as spotter near the suspect's house to report immediately if the latter is at home.

Amance have pending warrants of arrest for attempted murder, robbery and frustrated homicide. He had been hiding for almost three years already.

The suspect is now detained at San Fernando Police Station. He will be turned over to the court who issued his arrest warrant.

Nalua is thankful for the cooperation of the concerned citizens in San Fernando. He said Amance's arrest was made possible because of the help of the public.
