China, where else?

-

According to PDEA, the Chinese are the new drug lords at the New Bilibid Prisons (NBP). They are able to supply drugs inside and outside the prison. Authorities at the NBP have admitted that the prisoners are still able to get cellphones, even though thousands have been confiscated. So who is their benefactor, if the one this administration is strongly accusing is already in custody?

It is no wonder that the Chinese are the new drug lords at the NBP. Where did the largest supply of shabu into the country come from, which was able, or was allowed to breeze through the Bureau of Customs (BoC)? Six hundred kilograms, or more than P6 billion worth of drugs almost made its way into the streets, if not for the discovery at the warehouse where they were delivered. At present, the DOJ has filed criminal cases against the person who exposed the anomalies and corruption that takes place at the BoC, along with other persons such as the Chinese businessmen who allegedly brought in the shipment from China. But former Bureau of Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon, now detained at the Pasay City Jail for contempt, still enjoys some level of immunity from the DOJ. I just laugh at the sight of his expressive t-shirts.

If you really want to win the war against illegal drugs, you need to stop the supply. You need to stop the source. That’s the key to victory in any war. And where do most of the drugs come from? From the country’s, well at least the president’s new best friend, China. If the relations between the Philippines and China are warming up, is it not possible for some cooperation between law enforcers of both countries to put an end to the drugs being shipped here? I am certain there are corrupt officials in China, who look the other way and allow the drugs to be shipped over here. After all, it becomes our problem, not theirs. It is our people who suffer and die, not theirs. It is our children who suffer and die, not theirs.

Mark Taguba needs to carefully think about his current situation. He spilled the beans regarding corruption at the BoC, especially the “tara” system. He probably thought that he would be somewhat rewarded for exposing so much, instead he was charged for drug trafficking. He is facing life imprisonment should he be found guilty. Was it because he mentioned the “Davao Group,” along with the president’s son and son-in-law, but retracting their involvement after only a few days? What is the Davao Group? Who are the persons in it? And who is that Tita Nani, who still remains mysterious? If Taguba knows more, then he should speak up without fear in court or even turn state witness if the DOJ will even allow him, considering what he may know. There are so many questions he can answer, because Faeldon seems to have nothing to say or do but be Sen. Gordon’s nemesis. He is probably waiting for the hand of God to carry him out of jail and into his new position in government, where he can finally wear something else other than his laughable t-shirts.
