Danao City drug busts net 19 ‘pushers’, ‘users’
Nineteen drug personalities were arrested in a series of buy bust operations in Danao City on Saturday by the Danao Drug Enforcement Unit.
Among the 19 arrested suspects, four of them are alleged drug pushers identified as Ritchie Capon, Jaime Dorong, Arnold Cuesta, and Rodrego Motesuso.
The alleged drug users were identified by the police as Jonlun Sapio, Julito Balibad, Glenn Manipis, Jomer Genson, Joey Cane, Sanito Dayon Jr., Felix Perez, Jickson Caracut, Christian Villaleon, Luis Abalos, Rolando Arias, Edwin Jopia, Jobel Jopia, Aldrin Capin, and Cruzell Capoy.
Seized were 46 small packs of suspected shabu with an estimated value worth P28, 910, cash worth P1,800 believed to be proceeds from the illegal drug business and several drug paraphernalia.
Police Superintendent Jaime Quiocho, Danao City Police chief, said that they monitored the activities of the suspects after they received reports about their involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Quiocho added the four pushers are new in their list.
Quiocho said that as Oplan Tokhang resumes they are also intensifying their operations against identified drug personalities in Danao who continued with their illegal drug activities despite the government's plea.
All arrested suspects are detained in Danao Police lock up cell pending filing of complaints for the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
