Wearing their swimsuits, the gorgeous women competing in the country’s most prestigious beauty pageant wowed guests with their beautiful physique and winsome personality as they introduced themselves and posed for photos at the hotel’s pool area.

This year’s roster of aspirants is composed of registered professionals, flight attendants, entrepreneurs, public personalities, models, students and pageant veterans all vying for the chance to represent the Philippines in international beauty tilts. They are the cream of the crop, having been chosen by the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. executive committee led by chairperson Mrs. Stella Marquez-Araneta in a rigorous screening process.

Reigning queens Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters, Binibining Pilipinas International Mariel de Leon, Miss Intercontinental first runnerup Katarina Rodriguez, Miss Globe first runnerup Nelda Ibe, Miss Grand International second runner-up Elizabeth Clenci, and Binibining Pilipinas Supranational Chanel Olive Thomas also graced the event and got to share valuable tips to the candidates.

With less than a month to go before the Coronation Night, the candidates are in for more exciting and meaningful activities, and tougher competition as the Philippines aims to further live up to its powerhouse status in international pageants.

One of the most important aspects of the Bini bin is’ journey is doing charity work, something that the organization has always made sure the ladies experience. Their most recent activity took all candidates to the AFP Medical Center in V. Luna to spend time with honorable wounded soldiers. With the help of the Makati Medical Center Foundation, the ladies brought cheer to the soldiers at the Heroes Ward by distributing food, clothes and toiletries. They also took time to interact with the soldiers and their families.

Pageant fans and followers will also get a chance to catch the ladies in the National Costume Competition at the Kia Theatre on March 3, and see them up close in the much-awaited annual Parade of Beauties, slated on March 10 at the Araneta Center grounds.

Join the ladies in their journey that culminates on Coronation Night, March 18, Sunday, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. For tickets to the National Costume Competition and the Coronation Night, visit www.ticketnet.com.ph or call 911-5555.
