Draft and Craft Beers to Pair with Mexican Faves

-

Showing their penchant for keeping Cebuanos on their toes with unprecedented offerings, Maya Mexican Restaurant is now serving homegrown draft beers, along with imported craft beers. It’s no secret that a delicious ale adds a special zing to any Mexican dish, and the new beers at Maya are no doubt a welcome addition to the restaurant’s menu.

New to the draft beer selection are four exclusive brews from proudly-homegrown Cebu Brewing Company, which includes The Mexicutioner, a refreshingly sweet beer with a low malt bitterness with a twist of lime; El Luchador, which has a bold and bitter flavor with a high, extra-strong bouquet; CBC Samoka Light, which can be described as ‘golden and crisp’ with a high fragrance and medium bitterness; and a special CBC Seasonal Brew prepared by Cebu’s award-winning brewer James Abilla.

Imported bottled craft beers are also now available, which come from seven different microbreweries in England, Ireland, Oregon, California, and New York. On the list of the new craft beer labels are Firestone Walker’s Pivo Hoppy Pils, Lagunitas Sucks, Golden Road’s Get Up Offa That Brown, Rogue’s HazelNut Brown Nectar, Anderson Valley, Beer Republic’s Hop Rod Rye, Mendocino’s Eye of the Hawk, George Killian’s, Smith & Forge Hard Cider, and A-Johnny Apple Cider.

Aside from the new beer selection, customers shall watch out for the different specials on their Mexican favorites everyday at Maya Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Lounge. Maya is located at Crossroads on Banilad Road. For deliveries, one may call 416.2442; for inquiries, (032) 238.9618. The website is at www.mayacebu.com.
