Fit for Summer

-

Fit bodies aren’t just for the summer – they’re ideal to keep all year long. Everyone may beat the heat and stay in shape with the coolest fitness activities happening at Ayala Center Cebu.

Zumba Fitness

Those who believe workouts should be fun may look no further than Zumba. This fitness-party lets participants dance to awesome music and burn extra calories without even realizing it. Gold’s Gym, one of the premier fitness centers in the world, holds free Zumba sessions at The Terraces on Wednesdays and Fridays, 6 to 8 p.m., ongoing until May 25. Free registration onsite.

Martial Arts

Anyone may break out a sweat while learning some self-defense tactics that may save lives. Ayala Center Cebu offers two options at the Active Zone: Taekwondo, a traditional Korean martial art; and Capoeira, an AfroBrazilian art that combines dance, acrobatics, and music. Taekwondo classes by the Coach Ken Academy are on weekday mornings, 11 a.m. – 12 noon, ongoing until May 21, with a registration fee. Capoeira classes are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 3 – 4 p.m., ongoing until May 25, with different registration fees for kids and adults, each group with 12 sessions.
