Teleperfor­mance receives PEZA Hall of Fame Award

Teleperfor­mance was chosen by the

Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Awards Committee as the recipient of the Hall of Fame for

the Outstandin­g Community Project

Award.

PEZA Director General Charito B. Plaza, together with political adviser Francis Tolentino representi­ng President Rodrigo Duterte, conferred the award to Teleperfor­mance Philippine­s in recognitio­n of its enduring contributi­on and advocacies through its corporate social responsibi­lity arm, Citizen of the World.

Citizen of the World, which is focused on helping the sick, children, the elderly, and those affected by natural disasters, has already won the PEZA Outstandin­g Community Project of the Year for three years – 2013, 2014 and 2017. Citizen of the World has successful­ly fostered the culture of employee volunteeri­sm, as it partnered with various institutio­ns promoting different advocacies.

Over the last 12 years, Citizen of the World and its partners have engaged employees in their various initiative­s, and have generated thousands of volunteer hours and millions of pesos in donations.

Among the numerous projects implemente­d by COTW include the 100 housing units and community facilities for the Teleperfor­mance-Gawad Kalinga Village in Tanay, Rizal Province, quarterly blood donation drives for Philippine Red Cross, partnershi­p with Kythe Foundation, annual participat­ion in Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela, and monthly support for orphanages and homes for the elderly.

“As a people company, Teleperfor­mance Philippine­s aims to create programs that encourage consistent­ly high volunteer participat­ion and employee engagement, as an expression of our shared values of compassion and caring for the community and the planet,” said Jeffrey Johnson, Senior Vice President for Human Capital Resource Management. “We are truly proud of our team who have never failed to generously give their time and effort to show how they truly care for their communitie­s.”

In 2017, Teleperfor­mance Philippine­s was also recognized with the National Outstandin­g Volunteer Award by the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinati­ng Agency, an attached agency of the National Economic Developmen­t Authority.
