Teleperformance among top employers in Cebu
For the third straight year, Teleperformance Cebu received recognition from the Cebu City Government for their contribution to the local economy at the 4th Cebu IT-BPM Recognition Night last May 17 at the Social Hall of the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
Executive Vice President Trina Stone-Ranin accepted the award in front of representatives from other Cebu based BPO’s, government officials and members of the Cebu IT BPM Organization or CIB.O.
Cebu City Mayor Tom Osmena said that the awards are given to ICT-BPM companies in Cebu that have contributed significantly to job creation in Cebu City.
Back in 2000, there were only 1,200 BPO workers in Cebu, but this tremendously grew to thousands. “Cebu City will not be what it is today without the BPO and the growth of Cebu City is primarily attributed to the ICT-BPM industry,” Osmeña said.
This award is a statement of Teleperformance’s commitment to not only bring the global market to Cebu but also bring globally competitive Filipino talents to the world.
“We are in an era where the fuel to stay strong and be successful is through innovation. Every organization should cultivate a supportive environment of creativity and curiosity while steering towards its business goals. It does look like a challenging feat but for a global leader like Teleperformance, this is entrenched in our culture through our values and TP DNA from the frontlines up to the executives.”
