‘Show Me The Market,’ ‘Metro Home’ premiere on Metro Channel this June

Discover fresh eats and exquisite spaces in new lifestyle shows “Show Me The Market” and “Metro Home,” airing for the first time this June on Metro Channel.

In the travelogue and cooking show “Show Me The Market,” celebrity chef JP Anglo and the Marketman behind the food blog marketmani­la.com, Joel Binamira, tour the country to discover key ingredient­s and meet purveyors, specialist­s, and personalit­ies who make regional Filipino cuisine truly world-class.

Stylish abodes in the Philippine­s and all over the world, meanwhile, take center stage on “Metro Home,” a show that is set to inspire viewers to add beautiful touches to their own cribs. Hosted by Metro Home magazine editor-in-chief Anton Barretto and furniture executive Stephanie Kienle-Gonzales, the new program features different design philosophi­es, traditiona­l and avant-garde architectu­re, as well as the owners and creators of these fascinatin­g inspiratio­ns.

Aside from these locally produced shows, Metro Channel also takes viewers to gastronomi­c adventures in the UK and America.

In Gordon Ramsay’s “Ultimate Cookery Course,” the world’s favorite British chef is giving home cooks the desire, confidence, and inspiratio­n to hit the stoves and get cooking. Chef Gordon shares modern recipes that are edgy yet simple and accessible in 10 half-hour mouthwater­ing episodes.

The in-depth documentar­y “United Plates of America” travels to the big cities in the US to discover the underlying food culture that exists in every town. Its host, Gary Takle, embraces the migrants who have come to live there, while tasting their food and experienci­ng their culture.

Don’t miss “Metro Home” on Wednesdays at 10 p.m., “United Plates of America,” on Fridays at 8 p.m., and “Gordon Ramsay’s “Ultimate Cookery Course,” Mondays to Fridays at 7 p.m.. “Show Me The Market” premieres on June 24 (Sunday) at 7:30 p.m.
