Nutrition council launches video contest

-

As the country celebrates the 44th Nutrition Month this July, the National Nutrition Council-7 launched a video making contest that puts emphasis on food gardening at home as one way to combat hunger, nutrition-related deficiencies and ensuring food accessibility.

This year's theme is "Ugaliing magtanim, sapat na nutrisyon aanihin".

NNC-7 in support of the event came up with a contest dubbed as "My Garden, My Tour: A One-minute Video Making Contest for Families with Home Gardens.”

The contest gives opportunities to families to capture and show their home-grownproduceformtheirown food gardens.

Entries must be original work with no professional assistance and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. It must run within the 60-second or 1-minute time limit. One entrant must only submit one video.

The video must feature one’s family’s food garden with produce that can already be harvested. Because this event is aligned with the 2018 National Nutrition Month theme, videos on gardens of ornamental plants or gardens that are freshly tilled or have no growing food plants yet will not be accepted.

Entries must be submitted on or before July 13 via email to region7@nnc.gov.ph and to nutritioncouncil.7@gmail.com with the sender’s complete name, complete address, landline number, and cellphone number.

Cash prizes await the winners.
