A 17-year-old girl is facing charges before the court for allegedly selling lewd photos of her and her friends to customers online.

The teenager, a resident of Barangay Sambag II in Cebu City, was held for trial for violation of Section 4(c) (2) of Republic Act (RA) 10175 in relation to RA 775 or Anti-Child Pornography Act.

Prosecutor II Ma. Liza MiscalaJorda has found probable cause to indict the teenager.

"...the said accused, a minor, who acted with discernment, willfully, unlawfully and deliberately with intent offered, transmitted, and distributed child pornographic material and lasciviously exhibited her sexual organs to customer using a mobile device connected to the internet," the charge sheet read.

No bail was recommended for the minor's temporary freedom.

In their joint affidavit, Senior Police Officer 2 Frederick Tupaz and Police Officer 2 Gaudencio Catig Jr., who are assigned in the Women and Children's Protection CenterVisayas Field Unit (WCPC-VFU), conducted surveillance operations for a month, resulting in the arrest of the minor.

On June 5, 2018, Tupaz, who served as police decoy, contacted a Facebook user using a pseudonym “Coleen,” who was allegedly engaged in online sexual exploitation of children.

Coleen reportedly sent nude photos of a teenager through Facebook Messenger to the police decoy in exchange for money.

The operatives later found out that Coleen and the naked girl in the pictures were the same.

Aside from her nude photos, Coleen also sent naked pictures of her friends to the operatives for P1,000 each.

On July 9, Coleen sent anew multiple nude pictures to the operatives for 2,000.

All payments were sent through a remittance center.

According to police, Coleen was doing her illegal activities inside her home in Barangay Sambang 2.

Police recovered cellular phones and a power bank from the teenager in an entrapment operation.

In an inquest proceeding, the teenager chose to answer the accusations filed against her before the court.
