The Country’s First VASR Eye Machine
Last June 17, one of Cebu’s leading optical care centers hosted a media gathering – to announce the availability of a VASR scanning machine. VASR stands for “Voice Active Subjective Refractor.”
De Los Reyes Optical has newly acquired its VASR machine, a patient-driven wavefront autorefractor that is voice-operated and works with artificial intelligence (AI) technology in guiding patients through eye examination processes. As a patient-driven machine, VASR optimizes eye examination procedures by negating the need to transfer eye scan data between instruments and physically moving patients from one scanning machine to another.
The machine’s advanced AI functions is designed to thoroughly process eye scans, discard data results that are inconsistent and appraise doctors of proper prescriptions and/or diagnosis.
Aside from properly graduating prescription glasses, the VASR can also be used for direct views of cataract formation, measure natural pupil size, render wavefront maps and more.
