Watercolor and Drawing Workshop With Googly Goeys
Googly Gooeys together with SM City Cebu will hold a Watercolor and Drawing Workshop on August 25 for the benefit of the SOS Children’s Village in Cebu.
GooglyGooeys.com initially started out as a comic blog and eventually evolved into an art-and- design blog from the Philippines that loves exploring all things fun and colorful. GooglyGoeys.com has also graced the pages of books, newspapers, blogs and magazines here and around the world. And it has garnered local and international blog awards and nominations since it started in 2009. The couple has been interviewed about their craft in various major local shows.
Tippy, the color addict, is a freelance layout artist, cartoonist and photographer. She graduated with a degree in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University but spent most of her college years doing comics and cartoony illustrations for various organizations.
Tippy’s husband, Pong, is the one responsible for fueling the mischievous spirit of the blog. He’s the inspiration for the blue character Ponggo, as he also sports that toothy grin in real life.
The workshops at SM City Cebu will have two sessions – 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Event Centre of SM City Cebu.
SOS Children’s Village provides different kinds of support to the local population. The family strengthening program provides assistance to families who are at risk of abandoning their children.
