MCCI encourages members to cope with new challenges

-

The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) is aggressively pushing its members to adopt transformations in doing business.

This is the main objective of the chamber as it holds this year’s Mandaue Business Month (MBM 2018), bringing local businesses to a higher level in facing new challenges brought about by technology, borderless economy, among others.

“In a period when industries are confronted by global challenges, the MCCI, as a ground for economic growth, pushes its members to defy and transcend their own limits, to strengthen their capabilities, to integrate innovations into their business, and to pursue their goals that are grounded on sustainable and socially-responsible entrepreneurship,” said MCCI president Stanley Go during the formal launching of MBM 2018 at Maayo Hotel in Mandaue City.

Carrying the theme “Breaking Boundaries. Defying Limits,” Go said the series of events are expected to equip businesses with know-how on how to thrive in the strange business environment.

Chaired by businessman and King’s Quality Food president John King, the month-long event highlights the Business Summit flagship event, where government officials and economic experts will talk about the state of the Philippine economy as well as programs that support a promising economic outlook.

The MCCI Business Summit, slated on August 23, expects to gather at least 500 participants coming from business, government, non-government organizations and other agencies.

Department of Tourism secretary Bernadette Puyat will also be invited as one of the main speakers of the summit.

Other events lined up for the MBM 2018 include; Men in Business, Cebu Digital Marketing Competition, Bakery World Exhibit, ECO Park Solar Lamppost Inauguration, MCCI Chamber Awards, among others.
