2018 TOCA awardees announced

The executive committee of the TOCA Program of DyCM’s “Tingog Sa Lungsod,” through executive director, Engr. Greg Senining, has bared this year’s recipients of The Outstanding Cebuano Award (TOCA).
The awardees, and their corresponding field of excellence, are the following: Engineer Reynaldo Raden Aldepulla, in the field of invention; Bunny Pages (business industry/entrepreneurship); Engr. Amy Lauron (engineering — refrigeration and airconditioning); Dr. Emmanuel dela Cruz Mantilla (agriculture); Dr. Lanndon Ocampo (science and technology); Jay Olivar (entrepreneurship); Engr. Redentor Rayla (management); Atty. Jayson Repaso (poverty alleviation); Dr. Elmer Ripalda (education); and Engr. Armando Sison (community service).
Now on its 18th year, the TOCA aims to honor outstanding Cebuanos on their contributions in the community and in national building. The award categories are extended to Cebuanos who excel in their own fields of endeavor.
A nominee must be a Cebuano, either a natural born or by consanguinity or affinity; must be able to attend personally the awarding ceremonies; and must have a high level of performance in the field for which they are nominated.
The awarding ceremony will be the main highlight of DyCM’s “Tingog Sa Lungsod program’s” 36th anniversary celebration at 7 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Center on August 18.
