Larsian reopening moved to Sept. 28

-

The reopening of the Larsian food strip is moved to September 28 in time for the anniversary celebration of the establishment.

The tenants were the ones who suggested to change the reopening date from September 1 to 28 to make this year’s reopening more significant.

The exact founding date of the food strip is yet to be known. But Larsian Manager Joey Herrera said that their record shows that it was reopened on September 28, 2012. The tenants have been celebrating this date as their anniversary since 2013.

Larsian is owned by the provincial government. This place has become a popular go-to place for those who want to eat grilled food.

It was closed last July 1 for renovation and repair of the stalls and drainage system. The project is worth P1.8 million.

Capitol targeted to finish the repairs within two months.

Two days before their target deadline, Herrera said that all the repairs are almost done. The construction workers are now finishing the plumbing works for the water pipes and the comfort rooms.

On the second week of September, the training for the tenants and their workers will also commence. This includes proper food handling and customer service.

The activity will be done in partnership with the Cebu City Health Office.

The Larsian management also intends to implement policies like posting of prices of the products and requiring the use of sanitation paraphernalia while handling food.

He said that there will be new stalls once Larsian opens again.

He encouraged interested individuals to rent a stall in the area. However, the new stall owners will have to sell something else aside from barbeque to diversify and broaden the menu which the visitors can choose from.
