Four men nabbed in anti-drug op­er­a­tions

A mi­nor and his friend were ar­rested for al­legedly hav­ing in their pos­ses­sion hun­dred pieces of sus­pected dried mar­i­juana leaves worth P30,000 in an anti-il­le­gal drug op­er­a­tion in Barangay Lorega San Miguel, Cebu City last Satur­day night.

The mi­nor’s com­pan­ion is iden­ti­fied as Emanuel Tra­jano, 20, of Si­tio Bel­gium Barangay Pasil.

Ac­cord­ing to Police Chief In­spec­tor Ken­neth Paul Al­bo­tra, they re­ceived re­ports re­gard­ing the mar­i­juana busi­ness of the mi­nor sus­pect.

Fol­low­ing mon­i­tor­ing and sur­veil­lance to con­firm re­ports, Par­ian cops con­ducted a buy-bust op­er­a­tion which led to the ar­rest of the sus­pects.

Re­cov­ered from them were three five hun­dred peso bills, and twenty knot-tied dried leaves of mar­i­juana.

Sus­pects are tem­po­rar­ily de­tained in Par­ian police precinct pend­ing fil­ing of charges.

In Lapu-Lapu City, two men, in­clud­ing a tri­cy­cle driver, were ar­rested in anti-drug op­er­a­tion last Satur­day evening.

Mald­win Am­bos Nar­vasa, 53, was ar­rested in Si­tio Pasil, Barangay Marib­ago at around 6 p.m., said Su­per­in­ten­dent Mark Gifter Su­calit, chief of La­puLapu City Police Of­fice-City In­tel­li­gence Branch.

Su­calit said they were about to con­duct a buy-bust op­er­a­tion when they caught Nar­vasa, a tri­cy­cle driver, car­ry­ing an un­li­censed .38 re­volver loaded with five live am­mu­ni­tion.

In a sep­a­rate op­er­a­tion, 49-year-old Ciri­aco Li­bot-Li­bot Salaza was ar­rested in Si­tio Pasil-Looc in the same barangay at 6:30 a.m., ac­cord­ing to Su­calit.

At least 13 small sa­chets of sus­pected shabu were con­fis­cated from the sus­pect dur­ing the op­er­a­tion. Salaza did not re­sist ar­rest.

Su­calit said the es­ti­mated value of the seized shabu was around P6,136. They also con­fis­cated Salaza’s al­leged pro­ceeds worth P430. —
