68 Days BEFORE christmas
In 1931, Prolific U.S. inventor Thomas Alva Edison died. In fifty years of frantic research he’d registered more than 1,000 patents and his last words seemed to be spoken in relief – he briefly revived from a coma and said, “It’s very beautiful over there.” His obituary in the New York Times was four and a half pages long, and his friend Henry Ford reputedly kept a bottle containing Edison’s dying breath!
