- Ehda M. Dagooc

Singaporean online grocery and food delivery Honestbee is expanding its coverage and network in Cebu.

Honestbee director for marketing Cat Avelino announced the encouraging acceptance of Cebuanos in adopting delivery services via online or apps prompted the company to make aggressive presence here by increasing the number of its partner merchants and users.

Six months after Honestbee entered Cebu early this year, about 300 homegrown brands are now part of its network.

Before the year ends, a local grocery chain is expected to be part of Honestbee Cebu service.

At present Honestbee has partnered with growing local merchants in Cebu, such as Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Selections, Ministop, Seaworld, JN’s Best, Visayan Educational and Office Supplies, Echostore, Life Med, the public markets in Carbon and Tabo-an, Ilaputi, Handuraw Pizza, Casa DOST, Kusina ni Nasing, and SnR, Detox Bar, Sunburst, among others.

At present, Honestbee will focus on its core services in food, grocery and medicine door-to-door delivery.

However, what is important is to expand the coverage of delivery because as of now, Honestbee is still covering Metro Cebu.

With online grocery and food delivery service as its core business, Honestbee also offers concierge service and parcel delivery service for its B2B clients.

The company provides personal shoppers that pick products for its clients.

In the Philippines, Honestbee maintains over a thousand drivers and shoppers. —
