PRO-7 keeps reserve force for emergencie­s

Police Regional Office-7 director Chief Supt. Debold Sinas said a reserve force will be on standby to respond to any emergencie­s during the observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

He said the team from the Regional Support Service Force (RSSF) will be deployed as last resort. Some of the reserve forces were also temporaril­y augmented to Negros Oriental following the harassment made by New People's Army rebels on a police detachment in Guihulngan Tuesday noon.

"Naa reserve forces sa PRO-7 and will be manned by the Regional Chief Directoria­l Staff, Senior Superinten­dent Oliver Lee diri sa headquarte­rs, naa pud ang RMFB pero muadto sa mi sa Negros ugma i-check sa namo ang detachment after sa harassment," Sinas said.

Sinas said that all preparatio­ns for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day are in place. He said that assistance desks have been set up by the city and provincial commanders to help the public.

Sinas said they have also started the deployment in cemeteries as early as Monday. He said that the concentrat­ion areas of deployment are the two biggest public cemeteries in the city-- Calamba and Carreta.

Cebu City Police Office director Senior Supt. Royina Garma has again reminded the public to adhere to the rules to avoid any problem. She said those who are visiting their departed loved ones should avoid bringing amplifier, gambling materials, alcohol, and sharp objects.
