Sun Life Grepa renews ties with home credit Philippines
Sun Life Grepa Financial, Inc. (Sun Life Grepa), one of the top life insurance companies in the country, and Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), part of the global consumer finance expert Home Credit Group, renewed their partnership by way of launching a credit insurance program for the underserved Filipino market.
The program benefit focuses on the payment of the amortization of existing loans (e.g. mobile phones, electronic and home appliances loan) in case the debtor gets hospitalized due to sickness or accident and is unable to work and earn a living.
“This is about empowering Filipinos who are underserved in terms of financial service access. The program allows them to have better control of their finances given life’s uncertainties,” says Sun Life Grepa President Richard S. Lim. “Our partnership with HCPH continues to reach more Filipinos who dream of building brighter lives by providing benefits that are truly useful to them at their time of need.”
The partnership between Sun Life Grepa and HCPH began in 2015 when the insurer started providing credit life insurance coverage to HCPH’s then 100,000 clients. Today, Sun Life Grepa provides insurance coverage to more than 1.5 million clients of HCPH.
“What makes our partnership with Sun Life Grepa strong is that both companies are committed towards understanding and providing meaningful financial solutions in addressing the needs of our clients,” says HCPH CEO Annica Witschard.
“It is this shared core belief in putting the needs of our clients above everything else that has helped make this synergy successful,” Witschard added.
