Suspected illegal drugs worth more than P5.2 million were confiscated by the operatives of the Waterfront Police Station of the Cebu City Police Office in two separate buy-bust operations yesterday.

In the first operation at 13th Avenue, Barangay Tejero, Cebu City, the police arrested John Michael Burgas, 29, and Bryan Antolihao, 34.

During the operation, a poseur-buyer bought one pack of suspected shabu using a P500 marked money.

The police recovered suspected shabu valued at P3.245 million.

In a separate police operation at M.J. Cuenco Avenue, the police arrested Johnny Boy "Jan-Jan" Agusto, 29, who allegedly sold drugs near Museo Sugbo at 4:30 a.m. yesterday.

The police seized a total of 125 grams of illegal drugs valued at P2,065,000 from Agusto.

The suspects are now detained at the Waterfront Police Station pending the filing of the illegal drugs cases to be filed against them.

Police Senior Inspector Jomar Pomarehos, who headed the operations, said right after they got the information, they immediately conducted the transactions with the suspects that resulted to their apprehension and confiscation of the illegal drugs.

The second operation served as a follow-up after the suspect in the first operation told the authorities that another illegal drug transaction will happen shortly after he was arrested.

Pomarehos also urged the public to give any additional information to the police about any illegal drug activities in their area.
