Bosco­ni­ans rule boys 15 di­vi­sion of Aboitiz Foot­ball Cup

The Don Bosco Tech­nol­ogy Col­lege si­lenced Giuseppe FC, 3-0, to clinch its fourth cham­pi­onship in the 20th Aboitiz Foot­ball Cup yes­ter­day at its own turf in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

The Bosco­ni­ans suc­cess­fully ruled the boys 15 di­vi­sion with Paul Joshua Ma­pula scor­ing the first goal with only a minute down in the game.

DBTC was ag­gres­sive the en­tire game as Paul Joshua Ma­pula reg­is­tered the team's sec­ond goal be­fore the first half ended.

Philip Louis Baro put the fi­nal nail in the cof­fin of Giuseppe FC with a goal in the 56th.

Aside from their at­tack­ers, the Bosco­ni­ans also ben­e­fited from Cyril Calo's im­pres­sive per­for­mance as a goal keeper after stop­ping all their op­po­nents' at­tempts. He was hailed as the ‘Best Goal Keeper'.

Del Campo, for his part, got the ‘Most Valu­able Player' award while CJ Son­galia bagged the ‘Best Mid-Fielder' plum. Vaugh Pa­cana also got the Golden Boot award.

Giuseppe got a con­so­la­tion with Evan Jose Abad named the Best De­fender.

Ear­lier, DBTC's Team 2 also claimed the third place tro­phy with an easy win over Sa­cred Heart School-Ate­neo de Cebu.

The Bosco­ni­ans is gun­ning for their fifth ti­tle in this year's Aboitiz Cup as their boys 13 squad bat­tles Sa­cred Heart School-Ate­neo in the fi­nals.
