Tree of Hope
Marco Polo Plaza, last November 7, lighted the Tree of Hope and to kick off the Festive Season at the hotel with this year`s theme – “Merry and Bright”!
Guests during the lighting of the Tree of Hope were Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, GMA Network VP & Head of Regional TV Oliver Amoroso, Msgr. Roberto Alesna, Cathay Pacific marketing manager Connie Cimafranca with Marco Polo general manager Brian Connelly.
After the lighting of the tree, live performances were presented, from Cebu Center for Dance, GMA`s “The Clash” winner Golden Cañedo and finalists Anthony Rosales and Garret Bolden. Then followed by photo-taking with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, who count down together to the lighting of the Tree of Hope. Marco Polo Plaza and GMA Kapuso Foundation have been partners for the past nine years, and a total of P1,344,181.57 in donations have already been given. By donating to the Tree of Hope, one supports the various projects of GMA Kapuso Foundation, such as the Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan Project, Givea-Gift Project and more. By donating two or more Christmas balls, one can earn one raffle ticket for a chance to win a round trip ticket to HongKong, via Cathay Pacific.
To be part of this beautiful Christmas tradition, one can donate to the Tree of Hope for only P200 per Christmas ball from November 16 to January 6, 2019. All proceeds will go to GMA Kapuso Foundation, one of the most accomplished non-government organization in the Philippines whose mission is to uplift the lives of the underprivileged Filipinos.
