A 58-year-old woman was found dead inside her residence in Kawasan II, Barangay San Roque, Liloan last Friday.

The fatality was identified as Iluminada Noval who succumbed to a neck laceration.

SPO1 Jonas Catubig of Liloan Police Station said that at 5 p.m., her live-in partner who just came home from work as a motorcycle driver found Noval lying on the ground already lifeless.

Investigation revealed that the belongings of the victim were already missing.

Police are looking into robbery as a motive of the killing.

"Nagkatag na ang sud sa balay murag naay gipangita ang suspek. Bag-o ra sad nahalinan ang mag-live-in partners sa ilang negosyo nga baboy," said Catubig.

SPO3 Andrew Rellanos, the investigator of the crime, said that their team already has a lead on the identity of the perpetrator.

Rellanos said that they have not recovered any evidence at the crime scene and there is no eyewitness of the crime.

"Wala'y laing taw paghitabo kay iyahang bana ug iyang anak nag-drive og habalhabal ato," said Rellanos.

He added that her parents who are living near the vicinity are deaf, thus, they did not hear any commotion.

Rellanos presumed that the crime happened between 2 p.m. to 5 pm because at roughly 1 p.m., the father of the victim still saw her hanging clothes.
