2 Mandaue firms bag Gawad Linaw awards
Two firms in Mandaue City were hailed as winners of this year’s 2nd Gawad Linaw Award.
A.D. Gothong Manufacturing Corp. (large category) and CFS Cebu Furniture Support (small category) were recognized for their innovative practices on labor and management relations.
Each awardee received a trophy and cash prize.
Other Gawad Linaw Award finalists were the Cenapro Chemical Corp., which was also awarded with a special citation for its significant improvement in the State of Labor Management Relations; Virginia Farms Inc. with a special citation award for Environmental Protection, Concerns and Advocacy; and Zuellig Pharma Corp. with special citation for its corporate social responsibility.
In partnership with the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce, the awarding took place at the Oakridge Pavilion in Mandaue City on December 7.
The Gawad Linaw Award is given to the most outstanding companies in Mandaue City that practice innovative labor relations.
The Tripartite Industrial Peace Council of Mandaue City, which is composed of Mandaue City local government unit, Department of Labor and Employment in Central Visayas, National Conciliation and Mediation Board-7, initiated the award in a bid to recognize companies, business establishments, and labor union and organizations that continually practice innovative labor relations program that promotes industrial peace in the workplace.
