Chanel’s First Makeup Line for Men

-

Luxe beauty and skincare brand Chanel Beauty recently made waves in running a promotional campaign for its first ever makeup line for men.

Featuring Korean actor Lee Dong Wook, the campaign’s rollout prefigures the line’s slated global release in in-store venues this 2019.

As reported by various beauty and celebrity news sites, the 37-year old actor was chosen to front the campaign as he “embodies the ethos of the collection: a person liberated from restrictions with a state of mind that celebrates fluidity and an art of living.”

Dubbed “Boy De Chanel,” the line is composed of three main products – matte foundation, waterproof eyebrow pencils and lip balm.

Last year, Chanel Beauty announced the 2019 global release of the line in August, then initially debuted it in South Korea in September. In November last year, the line was made available through online orders via chanel.com.

Apart from the line’s recent promotional campaign rollout, Chanel Beauty also released a series of beauty tutorials on how to best apply its new products – focusing on how to apply natural-looking makeup with its matte foundation, how to draw basic to elaborate effects using its eyebrow pencil line and more.
