Dover to hire more to expand business
American shared services company announced to hire at least a hundred more people to aid its expansion plans in Cebu.
Dover Business Services (DBS) offers backroom services like accounting, human resource, among others to subsidiaries of its holding company Dover Corporation, which owns a string of diversified businesses around the world.
According to Kevin Vandermolen, DBS director for business, the company which started its operations in Cebu in 2017, has grown from 56 people eight months ago, to over 200 as of latest count.
Peejay Dagat, human resources leader at the company, attributed Cebu’s good supply of talents specializing in accountancy for the company’s talent expansion plans.
More than half of DBS’ employees in Cebu are graduates of finance and business-related courses, including accountants.
Recently, the company open opened its new office site at the One Montage Building along Archbishop Reyes street, near Cebu Business Park.
The expansion has increased the company’s work stations to 400 including those at its old site in FLB Center.
This is to aid its expansion plan in Cebu owing to Cebu’s wealth of talents in the KPO skills.
“DBS’ expansion of talents in Cebu City ultimately paved the way in the development of a new site. Our movement is a giant step towards furthering our corporate growth as we continue to hire the best in class talents around the country to provide unparalleled services to our shareholders” said DBS Philippines site director Jing Cubos.
DBS’Asia shared services center in Cebu offers support in functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, master data management and travel & expense, and eventually expanded with other functions such as payroll, lease accounting, business transformation, business controls, engaged services, eCommerce and most recently, voice support for customer and vendor management.

The DBS Cebu site takes care of the backroom services of the corporation’s member companies which are located across the globe. DBS has three locations globally in Cebu, Suzhou in China and Cincinnati in Ohio.
