19th CESAFI All-Stars lineup now complete

After a four-day online voting, the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. through its commission­er Felix ‘Boy’ O. Tiukinhoy Jr. has released the complete list of players who made the cut for this year’s 19th CESAFI AllStar Games set this Sunday, November 10, at the Cebu Coliseum.

Unlike the past seasons wherein the competitor­s are determined by statistics, the players this time are being selected based on the number of votes they garnered in the online voting spearheade­d by the league through its official Facebook page (CESAFI_Official) last November 2-5.

Making up the starting five of College Team A for drawing the largest number of votes are Sheldon Gahi and Raul Jancork Cabahug of the University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers, Justine Jules Langres of the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors,

Luigi Kondrad Gabisan of the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters, and Lamine Thiam of the Southweste­rn University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras.

Under the tutelage of SWU-Phinma coach Mike Reyes, they will play alongside Paul Galinato and John Calvin Jabello of UC, John Carl Escalona and Jemcerson Sable of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats, Ted Saga and Monic Soliva of UV, Juan Miguel Gastador of the University of San JoseRecole­tos (USJ-R) Jaguars, Red Louis Cachuela of SWU-Phinma, John

Maglasang of the University of Southern Philippine­s Foundation (USPF) Panthers and Sommy Managor of USC.

They will go up against the College Team B, whose starters are Shane Menina and Renzo Galdo of UC, Joshua Magic Marata of USC, and Gerald Fernandez Sameen Swint of USPF.

Completing the Team B, which will be mentored by Bong Abad of USC, are William Rosebelt Polican, Allyn Dyll Roncal and Shaquille Imperial of SWUPhinma, Kurt Trangia of USC, Froiland Maglasang of UV, Alje Mendez of USPF, Jesse Aloro Jr. and Juan Miguel de la Torre of CIT-U, and Michael Heinrich Maestre and Las Coulibaly of UV.

In the juniors division, the first five of Team A are Nathaniel Montecillo of USC, Isaiah Miguel Blanco of UC, Leobert Andrew Casinillo of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles, John Dave Aznar of SWUPhinma, and Kevin Guibao of USJ-R.

They will be joining forces with Kyle Niño Ochavo and Christophe­r Erick Isabelo of USPF, Joseph Arth Nalos and Kirt Jalalon of UCLM, Imransev Nicolo Escobido and Nichole Jay Cabañero of the Don Bosco Greywolves, Anton Jake Co of USJ-R, Matthew Charles Booc of USC, Albert John Sacayan of UV, and Dezeo Villanueva of SWU-Phinma.

For Team B, the starting unit is composed of Vhann Joshua Baruc of USC, Vincent Raymund Escobido of Don Bosco, Santos Go of USJ-R, Sol Jade Ivan Tirol of CIT-U and Kendrick Abarquez of USJ-R.

Their comrades include Selwyn Victor Pepito, Ryzel Abatayo, and Dilcer Gaviola of USJ-R, Erick Caesar Cabrera of CIT-U,

Samuel Melicor Jr. of UV, Jose Zaldy Dizon of Don Bosco, Khadshein Tagalog, Jaed Rori Buzon and Justin Atilano of USC and Elijah Singson of USPF.

Edito Salacut of USJ-R will call the shots for Team A, while Rodmark Del Rosario of the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons will coach Team B.
