A Response to Surging Demand for Quality Accommodation

-

Ayala Land’s homegrown hotel brand Seda has opened its second property in Cebu City, in response to the surging demand for accommodations that meet the requirements of global business and leisure travelers.

The 214-room Seda Central Bloc will be an anchor destination of the Cebu Central Bloc, a self-contained Ayala Land community with retail, office and residential towers within the dynamic Cebu IT Park business district. The hotel’s 17 stories which also include 58 serviced residences are stacked on top of a three-story mall that offers Seda guests easy access to a wide range of retail and dining options.

Andrea Mastellone, Seda’s senior group general manager, says the hotel will cater to BPO firms already located in the 24-hour business district as well as those expanding to Cebu from Metro Manila and other cities in the next five years.

Seda Central Bloc Cebu’s serviced residences will cater primarily to young professionals and managers in the BPO industry staying long-term, while its hotel rooms are targeted towards a broader market of leisure and business travelers.

Seda Central Bloc Cebu’s hotel rooms will offer 28-square-meter spaces; its studios and three-bedroom units have from 30 to 90 square meters each. An all-day dining outlet called Misto, swimming pool, meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 100 persons, a gym and Straight Up roof deck bar complete the hotel’s amenities.

Like all other Seda hotels, the Central Bloc property will offer a high-energy location within one of Cebu’s prime business districts “with everything they need within walking distance,” points out Mastellone. “In addition to location, we expect guests to keep coming back because of the warm personable service now associated with the Seda brand. In each of our properties throughout the country, guests have come to expect a certain level of service excellence and we are proud of that.”

Seda now has 11 properties throughout the country, including resorts and serviced residences. The brand’s newest hotel is its second in Cebu City which Mastellone foresees to be “a vibrant hot spot for business as well as tourism.” He relates that high occupancy rates indicating un-served demand prompted the development of the Central Bloc hotel as early as 2015.

All Seda hotels offer rooms with fresh, modern layouts and designs. “Our signature look works very well with today’s guests, who highly appreciate the understated elegance, comfort and convenience associated with the Seda brand,” Mastellone prides.
