LTO extends validity of vehicle registration
The Land Transportation Office has extended the validity of registration of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in "2".
This is in view of the continuing enforcement of the nationwide community quarantine and health and safety protocols due to COVID-19 pandemic.
For middle digits 1, 2 and 3 are extended to February 15; for 4, 5 and 6 are extended to February 22, and for 7 and 8 are extended to February 28 while for 9 and 0 are until March 8, 2021.
The LTO also extended the validity of registration of all motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in "1" from January 2021 until February 15, 2021.
Meanwhile, LTO-7’s “Serbisyong Malasakit on Wheels" has operated in Tabuelan Astrodome beginning February 1 until today.
The services include issuance of student permit, renewal of driver’s license, renewal of motor vehicle registration, printing of driver’s license card with fiveyear validity, issuance of needed medical certificate and application for necessary insurance.
On the other hand, Mandaue City in cooperation with the Department of Public Works and Highways-7 installed plastic bollards along a major highway in the city as part of the city’s bike lane network phase-1.
The lack of public transportation brought about by the strict protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic has seen a rise in bicycle users in the city.
“As a way to protect the bicycle riding public, the local government of Mandaue City has made it a priority to install infrastructure projects intended for the safety and protection of our bikers. This includes the bike lane network, bicycle repair stations as well as bike parking racks all throughout the city,” according to the city’s Public Information Office in their Facebook post.
