The new iPhone 13 line

-

A smaller “notch,” a brighter display, camera upgrades, a faster A15 bionic chip, more storage and improved battery functions – these are among the highlights of models of the iPhone 13 series. Composed of the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the series runs on what Apple calls as the fastest processor chip to be integrated into a smartphone, with its Pro tier models featuring a new 5-core GPU that’s cited by Apple to be

30 to 50 percent faster than those made by its competitors.

Like previous iPhone lineups, the iPhone 13’s models come in different sizes. The iPhone mini features a 5.4-inch display, while the iPhone 13 is topped with a screen measuring 6.1-inches. The iPhone Pro 13 features a screen measuring 6.1-inches, while the iPhone Pro Max 13 comes with a 6.7-inch screen. The line’s Pro models are topped with a 120Hz ProMotion display which can support brightness levels of up to 1000 nits.

Imaging-wise, the line’s Pro models feature a triple-camera setup made of a primary, ultra-wide and telephoto lens. The lens-camera setup allows for up to 3x optical zoom shooting, and also works with a “cinematic mode” shooting function that allows for seamless focus shifts from background to foreground frames.

Complementing the iPhone 13’s new hardware specs is an improved battery that, as Apple benchmarks, adds up to 2.5 hours more battery life to the iPhone 13 compared to the iPhone 12.

For storage options, the line comes with 128GB as its starting variant, with higher model versions having up to 1TB storage. The storage range is a step-up over the iPhone 12’s base 64GB and max 512GB.
