“Dili na maihap kung pila ka mga Oponganon ang nitambong sa grand rally. Ang akoa lang masulti nga lipay kaayo ko inubanan sa Team Deretso nga daghan kaayo ang nianhi sa among kalihukan,” said Radaza.

A former three-term mayor, Radaza is challenging re-electionist Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan in the mayoralty race.

Team Ahong-Team Libre also conducted their Kaabag grand caravan yesterday joined by huge number of people on motorcycles or in private cars.

The mayor posted on his Facebook that while his convoy is already in Barangay Ibo in Lapu-Lapu City, some cars and motorcycles are still at the Roro Port in Cordova town.

“Wala'y kabutangan (sa) akong kalipay sa akong nasaksihan gabie. Ang inyong matag presensya nakapa inspire kanako. Sa kadako sa lugar, all sides duna gayuy mga tawo nga daw murag ga picnic kay nag grupo-grupo man. Kagabie, nasaksihan nako ang hini-usang pwersa sa mga Oponganon nga misyagit og sensero ug tinud-anay nga serbisyo,” said Radaza in her Facebook post.

During the grand rally, Radaza urged Oponganons to vote for 15-0 in favor of Team Deretso as she lambasted the Chan administration as a “bankrupt administration” that people should think twice as she bats for “good governance” and continued development.

Radaza did not fail to entertain the crowd, rendering a song with the lyrics: “akoy babalik na, so please wait for me”.

Reelectionist Councilor Flaviano “Bobit” Hiyas Jr. also presented the plunder case they filed against Chan, among others and explained the overpriced purchases of rice, solar lamps with posts, solar lamps kits, alcohol and disinfectants wherein the overpriced amounting to almost P200 million.

Aside from plunder, Chan and several others were all sued for violation of Article 217 of the Revised Penal Code or malversation of public funds and violation of Republic Act No. 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Hiyas added that total aggregate amount involved in the series of transactions complained of is amounting to P608,115,030.

Chan has merely dismissed these allegations as nothing but political propaganda as the filing of these cases before the Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas is already very near to the May 9, 2022 elections.

“Dili ni political propaganda, it took us almost a year to prepare all the documents and evidences kay ang City Hall wala mi nila gihatagan og mga dokumento,” Hiyas told the crowd.

The mayor in his Facebook post as of 6:15 p.m. Sunday, the situation at the back of Menzi where 20 percent of those who attended the caravan were already at the area while 80 percent were still on the city streets on the way to the venue for their mini rally.
