Enad to push for Minglanilla recla project
Minglanilla mayoralty aspirant, lawyer Rajiv Enad, is planning for an inclusive governance and a progressive locality should he wins in Monday's election.
Enad promised to pursue the town’s 100-hectare reclamation project, the biggest project of the incumbent Mayor Elanito Peña, his runningmate.
This project is envisioned to be a world-class mixed use township and will be transformed into a techno-business park with a fully-integrated port facility.
The core objective of the development is to foster a regional center with competitive advantage, a vibrant and sustainable environment that will promote economic development, improve quality of life and elevate Minglanilla’s position in Metro Cebu.
The project aims to create a unique destination with diverse amenities for living and an inspiring environment to promote enterprise and innovation.
If he wins, Enad said he will cultivate the climate for commercial and industrial development of Minglanilla including its tourism and public sports facilities.
Enad said that under his administration, no one will be left behind as all will have a better life and live in an environmentally sound environment with strong basic services for all Minglanillahanons.
During the recently held Abante Minglanilla rally which was attended by over 10,000 attendees, Enad and Peña, along with their entire slate also presented their goals and plans if they win the 2022 elections on Monday.
Enad, the leading mayoralty aspirant in the recent local surveys, also said during the rally that once he wins the election, he will cultivate the climate for commercial and industrial development of the town including its tourism and public sports facilities.
The incumbent municipal councilor has authored several welfare ordinances that include the monthly and quarterly allowances for solo parents, senior citizens, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials and persons with disabilities (PWD).
As a welfare advocate, Enad also authored an ordinance for the regular financial allowance for barangay health workers (BHW), tanods and other barangay personnel. He also authored the ordinance creating the purok system of Minglanilla and the provision of their annual financial grants.
He is also the main proponent of the recent move to increase the annual local government unit stipend of senior citizens from P1,000 to P4,000.
Enad, a holder of a master’s degree in Public Administration and Development Management, is now bannering the “Work, Play, Live” vision for Minglanilla which aims to build the town into a competitive locality, livable community and an attractive district.
This vision, according to Enad, who is a consistent number one town councilor, will generate progress and development through investment in infrastructure and education.
