Aven claims support from BOPK leaders
Cebu City North District congressional candidate, lawyer Avenescio "Aven" Piramide, has claimed that sitio leaders of Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) in two barangays have expressed their support for his candidacy.
Piramide said such shift happened after he met with these leaders from two separate gatherings as they requested him to present to them his program of government.
“Cutie del Mar voters gyud ni sila unya they asked me to appear before them to present my program of government ngadto nila. Unya paghuman nako’g estorya ngadto nila, they decided, sa katong usa ka barangay, they were over 100 sitio leaders, they decided to vote ‘ari lang ta ni Atty. Piramide kay ang iyang program haom sa atong sitwasyon’,” said Piramide.
Former congresswoman Rachel Marguerite “Cutie” del Mar, who is allied with BOPK, is also running for North District representative, aiming to continue the legacy of her father, the late Rep. Raul del Mar.
Piramide added that an urban poor group, with members of about 200 families, also signified to him their support after they heard his explanation about his programs, specifically regarding informal settling.
He said that he has already written 14 proposed bills, and one of them is entitled “An Act Setting Up the Cebu City Protocol in Solving Informal Settling”.
“When I explained to them kung unsay nature and character sa akong item 7 sa 14 proposed bills, they voted nga ako’y ilang tabangan. I realized most of them are followers of BOPK,” he said.
Piramide refused to divulge the names of the two barangays but said that this development would greatly help him in the upcoming national and local elections.
“Considering nga wa man ko magpa-survey kay that is very costly endeavor para nako, but I’ve heard, I was informed of the survey results of a businessman’s group ‘nya according to the survey, ako and Cutie are statistically tied. That was three or four days ago. So, with this development, basi’g maka-overtake na ko ni Cutie,” he said.
Piramide is hoping for a clean, honest, and peaceful election.
“Hinaut nobody will be doing something nga violates our code of conduct or code of morality,” he said.
