Coconut Milk Tonic
Coconut Milk Tonic is the best dairy-free alternative to cow’s milk. It contains about the same amount of calories and calcium as regular milk and is the best dairy-free alternative to cow’s milk. The good thing about it – it can be made at home, and it tastes nice.
Ingredients:
15 ounces of homemade full-fat coconut milk
1 ¾ cup filtered water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp Dolomite Powder, for calcium (sold at drug stores) 2 tbsp raw honey
Procedure:
• Mix all ingredients together in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, and heat until warm and dolomite is dissolved.
To make with homemade coconut milk: Mix 2 cups of freshly grated coconut meat with 4 cups of filtered water.
• Heat in a medium saucepan until water simmers.
• Take off from heat. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon Dolomite Powder and 2 tablespoons of raw honey. Mix well and allow to cool.
• Once the coconut mixture is cooled, blend in a blender for 1 to 2 minutes or until coconut meat is well blended.
