Nanny, boyfriend arrested for kidnapping
The Alegria police have arrested the helper who abducted the four-month old child of her employer for three days in Dalaguete town Thursday evening.
Police Senior Master Sergeant Alexander Lerio, Alegria Police Station investigator, said that they found out that the suspect, Edelyn Homecillo, was in Dalaguete town through their coordination with the town police.
Accordingly, the Dalaguete Police Station heard a tip that Homecillo was in Barangay Obong of the town and immediately validated the report.
"Ang bata, tua na ron sa ginikanan, okay ra man, wala ray problema," said Lerio.
Lerio also said that they arrested Homecillo's boyfriend, a certain Monico, upon finding out that the suspect could have conspired with the latter to execute the abduction.
Both suspects will face the charges of kidnapping.
"Ang estorya ani, kay murag nailad man guro ning boyfriend, nga ang gipasangil ani, sige silag kita, then nabuntis daw sya, mora’g sige syag sustentohan kuno sya, then nanganak kuno sya, then ang boyfriend gapadala ra pud without knowing nga giilad sya," said Lerio.
Lerio also said that it was the suspect's boyfriend who convinced Homecillo to live with him in Dalaguete.
"Mao to ang bata nga iya nalang gidala didto, maoy iyang gipasangil nga mao ilang anak," said Lerio.
He, however, added that when the suspect's boyfriend knew that the child was not theirs and was abducted, he refused to report it to the police.
It was reported Thursday that the police are still looking for the helper, Homecillo, who allegedly took the four-month old child of the family where she works in Sitio Sangi,
Barangay Madridejos, Alegria.
The mother of the child whom the police identified as Marivic Luduvici appealed on social media for help in locating their child.
Both suspects are now detained at the Alegria Police Station. —
