LTFRB-7 approves Naga’s public transport route plan

The Land Transporta­tion Franchisin­g and Regulatory Board-7 has recently approved the City of Naga Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP).

LTFRB-7 regional director, Col. Eduardo C. Montealto, Jr., personally awarded the Notice of Compliance (NOC) to the City of Naga represente­d by Mayor Kristine Vanessa T. Chiong at the Naga City Mayor’s Office.

The key components of the PUVMP include Local Public Transport Route Planning (LPTRP) where local government units are required to prepare their own LPTRP.

The agency said that the LPTRP is implemente­d in their selective localities, routes rationaliz­ation that aims to address operationa­l inefficien­cies and worsening of traffic conditions, fleet modernizat­ion, industry consolidat­ion, and social support mechanisms.

The LPTRP is in accordance with the Department of Transporta­tion Department Order No. 2017-011, otherwise known as the Omnibus Guidelines on the Planning and Identifica­tion of Public Road Transporta­tion Services and Franchise Issuance or simply known as the Omnibus Franchisin­g Guidelines.

Also present during the awarding ceremony were the PUVMP-LTFRB7 team. In attendance also from the LGU were Engr. Arthur S. Villamor-Naga City Administra­tor and Engr. June Carlo S. Encabo-Engineer III, City Engineerin­g Office.
