Titans ‘Night’ Run on March 12 at Mandani Bay

-

After a two-year hiatus, the Titans Run returns to Cebu’s running calendar with a “night run” at the Mandani Bay in Mandaue City on March 12.

More than being a “glow-in-the-dark” event, this is also aimed at forging closer ties among family members.

The event is organized by the Student Body Organization of Paref-Springdale School and the parents of the Grade-3 Pupils.

This was last staged in 2021, but since it was still at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was virtual event.

This year, there will be five categories – 10K, 5K, 3K Dad and Son, 3K and 1K.

Entry fee for the 10K event is P700, 5K P650, 3K Dad and Son P1,100, and for the 3K and 1K distances P600.

All registered participants are entitled to a dri-fit shirt, a glow accessory, race bib and a finisher’s medal.

Gun start for 10K is at 6:30 p.m., 5K at 6:45 p.m., 3K at 6:55 p.m. and 1K at 7 p.m.

The top three runners for 10K category will receive P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000 respectively. There will be separate winners for the male and female categories.

Prizes for top three runners for the 5K category are P1,500, P1,000 and P500, respectively. There will also be winners for the male and female classes.

This event is open to all running enthusiasts and families including those who are not from Paref Springdale.

To add to the festive mood, there will be food booths, Zumba, presentations by Paref students and a disc jockey will be playing upbeat music at the start/finish line located on Zuellig Avenue.
