The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) is conducting an operational research or link analysis of a suspected hitman to two unnamed high-profile inmates.

John Bryan Fernandez, identified as a noted hitman by the police, was arrested in a buy-bust operation by the City Intelligence Unit of the Cebu City Police Office last week.

CCPO director, Police Col. Ireneo Dalogdog, revealed that Fernandez admitted that he was responsible for the shooting incidents in Barangay Inayawan, Suba and Carreta, in Cebu City.

Dalogdog also found out that the high-profile inmates who were arrested are also said to be serving as Fernandez's middleman.

The police withheld the names of the two inmates while there is still follow-up operation conducted.

It is said that Fernandez asks the two inmates for support every time he commits a crime.

Dalogdog said that a well-known drug lord would give instructions to Fernandez.

It is said that Fernandez has another contact in the jail who is also a wellknown drug personality.

“Ang naghatag sa ilaha og instruction naa pa sa sulod sa City Jail known drug personality gihapon ni aside atong naa puy mo contact kang John Fernandez na gyud sa high profile nga drug known personality so mao gyud to tanang mga instructions gikan adto niya ug naa sad sila’y contact pud diri gihapon sa City Jail nga mao puy mohatag og follow-up instruction kang John Bryan Fernandez,” said Dalogdog.

It was learned that most of the shooting incidents that occurred in Cebu City are related to illegal drugs.
