Man arrested with P400K shabu
A 20-year-old drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7 in Barangay Pulangbato, Cebu City Thursday afternoon.
The suspect was identified as Daniel Sabanpan while his cohort, the subject of the operation, was able to elude arrest.
The operatives confiscated 12 packets of suspected shabu weighing 50 grams and worth about P400,000.
The PDEA-7 operatives received information regarding the illegal activities of the arrested person, prompting them to subject the suspect a oneweek surveillance.
It was learned that the suspect can dispose of 500 grams of shabu every week.
Sabanpan will be charged for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
ANTI-CRIME OPERATIONS
Meanwhile, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) continues to insist on their operation against all types of criminality to maintain peace and order in the city.
In fact, in one day of their Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) the previous day, they conducted 32 antiillegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 35 personalities, of which four are high-value individuals and 31 are street level individuals.
The Cebu City police also confiscated 392.39 grams of shabu worth P2.2 million.
In its campaign against illegal gambling, the CCPO conducted 47 operations and arrested 73 persons and P5,618 bet money was confiscated.
About the campaign against loose firearms, CCPO chief, Police Col. Ireneo Dalogdog, said that they conducted nine operations and nine people were arrested and nine weapons were recovered.
In the pursuit of those wanted by the law, the CCPO conducted 95 manhunt operations that resulted in the arrest of seven most wanted persons of which five are provincial level and two are municipal level and 12 other wanted persons.
“Sa pagkakaron daghan gihapon ta og nahuli sa drugs kay sa one day lang nga operation nikabat og 392.39 grams ang na-confiscate sa atong mga PNP personnel nga nag-conduct og antiillegal drugs operations,” said Dalogdog.
