Body Talk James Blanco with

‘How did I get this kind of body? It wasn’t easy because I love to eat. But with a lot of core and circuit training, I was able to shed the pounds that I should.’

- By Ricardo F. Lo

Take a good look at the pictures on this page. You can’t associate James Blanco today with the schoolboy in white-andkhaki uniform in the Lifebuoy commercial years ago, can you?

The boy whose one arm is marked by a long scar (sustained in an accident) is now very much married and a father — and back in circulation.

“Please don’t ask me about my private life,” James begged off, politely refusing even to identify his wife (who’s pretty enough to be an actress) and their kids (especially not where they’re studying). “For security reasons, you know,” he said, half-joking.

Actually, his private life has been intruded into. Like most actors, James has survived the most unsavory gossip (like being linked to a gay benefactor which he only laughed off). “I have grown immuned to

tsismis,” said James who belongs to Annabelle Rama’s stable of talents. “Sa edad ko ba namang ‘to magpapa-apekto pa ako!” Often seen in the TV5

Kapatid Network, James is nurturing an image as a kontrabida which was what he played in Nagbabagang Bulaklak, his first Kapatid project, and now in Valiente.

You’re making a comeback. How is it the second time around?
