Pocari Sweat Duathlon under way at Global City

Two hundred and fifty athletes are competing for honors today in the first major duathlon event of the year – the Pocari Sweat Duathlon – at the Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Organized by Bikeking, the race will cover a greater portion of the Global City. Participan­ts will run six kilometers from Third Avenue to Eleventh Avenue, bike 30 kilometers in a wide perimeter on Rizal Drive, and return to the same run course for the final 4K.

Along the way participan­ts will get to see notable urban spots like the Fort Complex, the NBC Tent and The Mind Museum.

At stake are medals and gift items for individual open, age-group and team relay

winners.

All finishers will receive commemorat­ive medals and will be entitled to recovery perks and premium items at the Unilab Active Health Tent. Media partners for the race are Summit Media, Swimbikeru­n, Multisport, Thirtysix-o-media and Aeroeyeasi­a.
