‘Alkansya’ fund drive for theology seminary on

- Eva Visperas

SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan — The Lingayen-dagupan Archdiocese encourages every family to go back to the habit of using alkansya (piggy bank) where coins are placed for future needs, this time for the construction of a theology seminary here.

The second phase of the fund raising campaign for this project hopes to encourage the whole family to share, especially in this time of Lent.

In the prayer for the theology seminary said after every Mass in the archdiocese, the following are recited by the faithful: “Bless our vision”….we promise to set aside everyday an amount for the theology seminary.”

The parish here is giving “Alkansya na Pamilya” for free to families who want to help in the construction.

These “Alkansya na Pamilya” shall be placed on the tables in front of the church before and after the mass. Families are free to get them. The families need only to have their family names registered for monitoring purposes.

The duration of the campaign is from Feb. 26, the first Sunday of Lent, up to May 20, 2012, the Sunday before Pentecost.

On the week of May 20-26, 2012, the families shall start returning their “Alkansia na Pamilya” to the parish office.

On May 27, 2012, Pentecost Sunday, all the families who returned the “Alkansia na Pamilya” or who gave to the campaign will receive a “certificate of appreciation” signed by the Archbishop, the Vicar Forane and the Parish Priest.

Meanwhile, the Vicariates of the Archdiocese of Lingayen-dagupan have also launched the campaign called, “1M para ka M” where each of the Vicariates will raise a minimum of P1 million for the Theology seminary construction.
