-

Going beyond its renowned local unlimited mobile services, Sun Cellular extends its reach overseas through its international mobile products for families of overseas Filipino workers.

“With over 40 international voice carrier partnerships around the world, we have achieved our best-value rates across all our international mobile services for both postpaid and prepaid,” said Michele P. Curran, Sun Cellular head for international business.

Sun Cellular offers special rates to countries which are target destinations of OFW’S like the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Hawaii and Guam.

“We have designed our IDD products to be as convenient as possible to our customers, eliminating the need for repetitive dialing of prefixes or pin numbers and letting them enjoy longer talk time with their loved ones without spending much,” Curran said.

Sun Cellular also offers the Call and Text International SIM which allows those with loved ones abroad to call them for as low as P1.50 per minute to selected countries or send text messages for only P1.00 to such destinations as the mainland USA, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Macau, Japan, Qatar, Brunei, Guam, Hawaii, Oman, Cayman Islands, Cyprus, Turkey, Northern Marianas Islands, Jamaica, Bahamas, and Puerto Rico.

In addition, Sun offers international SMS for only P5 per text to over 200 destinations worldwide.

“These products are our response to the huge demand for best-value IDD services given the globalization of our economy, and the ever increasing number of OFW families,” said Curran.

Curran said there will be more good news for OFW families and consumers of IDD products. “Our synergies with our new mother company PLDT will surely pave the way to further enhanced IDD products and services,” she added.

Sun Cellular said that at present, PLDT has shared its network resources to allow more consumers to avail of Sun Cellular’s highly affordable international services. Curran explained that, this is one of the many benefits they have gained from being part of the country’s largest telecommunication group. Recently Sun Cellular announced that it has expanded its network reach in Mindanao and Luzon using the infrastructure of the PLDT Group.
